Luke's Birthday Day

Luke's birthday landed on a Wednesday this year and I wanted to make it super special, even though it wasn't the weekend. Drew didn't have school that night so he was able to come home right after work to celebrate with us. Here's Luke's special day:

Woke up to a doughnut & the three of us singing to him. Then at the table he had a wish to make and a present to open:

Then we went to the park and had lunch and played:

Then we went and got a little frozen yogurt:

I had put pictures up of Lukie on the wall and I wanted to take a picture of him with them. These are some of my favorite pics of him as a 3 year old:

Then the kids took a nap & woke up hungry:

Then we had to wait (impatiently) for daddy to come home! Once he came home, we went and ate at Luke's favorite place, McDonald's, then went home and opened his presents:

And of course, CAKE!

Happy birthday to my sweet Lukers!

Happy Birthday, Luke!

I CANNOT believe Luke is 4. It blows my mind. I may or may not have teared up several times last night thinking about it. We did/are doing lots of fun things for him today. I'll post about that later. For now, let's look at the most beautiful boy face in the entire universe!

Newborn - 1

1 - 2 years

2 - 3 years

3 - 4 years

Happy birthday, sweet boy!! He is seriously such a wonderful person. He always thanks me for things and says "You're my sweet little mommy." He LOVES his sister. He has trouble sharing his toys, but he is so patient and loving. He always does what I tell him to do (Gracie's another story). He is SO stinkin' smart! He can hear a song one day and sing it back to you a week later. I have to try and remember when he even heard that song! He always surprises us with new words and he can spell his name. My life was so blessed when this little man came into my life.

Disneyworld: The rundown

I took a picture of every ride we went on. This trip was very well documented. And just so you know, this post is very picture heavy. Consider yourself warned.

Waiting to hop on the bus:

Our first ride was Ariel's Underwater Adventure:

Then we went on Dumbo:

Then we stopped for a light snack:

Then we went on Raceway or Race Cars or something like that:

Here's a pic of our rental stroller:

Then we played the Buzz Lightyear game:

Then we went on the People Mover, which wasn't really a ride. It was more like a little trolley-type thing that took you through Tomorrowland.

After that Drew's grandparents were there and Luke got to go to Laugh Floor with Grandaddy Free. It was a comedy show with Monsters Inc. It was super cute.

Then we caught the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It parade. I think this may have been the kids' favorite thing at Disneyworld.

After the parade the kids were EXHAUSTED. So Mama Pepper, Grandma, and Grandaddy Free all went back to the hotel with the kids while Drew and I hung out at the park.

We went on the Haunted Mansion:

And we got a root beer float:

And went to the Hall of Presidents (for Drew...I got a good nap) and Winnie the Pooh:

And then, because we're CRAZY, we stood in line for 2 HOURS to get onto Space Mountain. Next time we won't even think about it unless we have Fast Passes:

Once we got off Space Mountain, Mama Pepper and the kids came back to the park so we met up with them. We decided to go and meet the one and only Mickey:

Then we headed back to Cinderella's castle and caught the parade yet again! (It runs about 3 times a day) And Drew and I had Fast Passes Thunder Mountain Railroad, so we did that. Then we all went on It's A Small World, grabbed some dinner, went on Peter Pan, watched Mickey's PhilharMAGIC (SOOO good!), and went back on It's A Small World:

Then it was time to go to the Electrical Parade! We had a nice, close seat. It was drizzling, so that was bad, but they kids loved the parade!

Then Mama Pepper took the babies back to go to bed and Drew & I hung out, shopped, and rode a couple more rides. And met a couple Princesses :)

Us at the end of the night: Cold & exhausted! But so happy!

Disneyworld IS the happiest place in the world!!
