Hill Yeah, Shih Tzu and other gems

My wife likes to fake swear sometimes. I'm not sure why. I'm not sure exactly how she developed this habit (probably something to do with a combination of Ghetto California and her other Mormon girl friends). Sometimes she does it on purpose. Sometimes she does it on accident, but either way, it usually makes me laugh. She is a sweet lady, but sometimes she just goes off and fake cuss words come sprawling out like a leaky facet.

So my question: Are fake cuss words bad, and are some worse than others?

Let me just defend myself real fast. Okay, so some words or phrases that kind of sound like you're cussing are pretty funny. Like Kyle and Renae's blog name (Hill Yeah). These things make me laugh. Why? Probably because I am a pretty typical "Mormon girl." I've never really done anything wrong, so these are really my guilty pleasures. So sue me.

P.S. I credit my love of "fake cuss words" to certain friends from high school. You know who you are. Their names rhyme with Mellee and Shmecca.

I would say the worst fake one was when I was trying to say Shih Tzu but it all went horribly, horribly wrong. Let's just say I don't attempt to say that anymore.

Kathryn, it's ok. My family has a Shih Tzu dog, and my extended family all seem to get pleasure of pronouncing it the inappropriate way... it must make them feel slightly rebellious.

Considering that Hill Yeah would be the title of my blog... I see nothing wrong with that statement either... it's just a play on words with my name... that's ok.

Just so you know, I'm totally on your side Kathryn... hill yeah. :)
